Data Analysis for Bakery Expansion: Identifying the Optimal Branch for Acquisition
A strategic data analysis project comparing two bakery branches to recommend the optimal one for acquisition using descriptive statistics, anomaly detection, and time-series forecasting.
Context & Workflow
In this data-driven consulting project, I analyzed sales and operational data from two bakery branches to identify the optimal location for expansion. The workflow included data preprocessing, KPI engineering, statistical comparisons, and predictive forecasting.
Key Analytical Work
I engineered features such as Total Revenue and Average Revenue per Unit, compared branch performance using descriptive and comparative statistics, and identified revenue volatility using anomaly detection techniques. I also implemented time-series forecasting models to evaluate growth and risk factors for each branch.

Outcome & Recommendation
The analysis concluded that although Bakery 1 had slightly higher growth potential, it also showed higher volatility. Tailored recommendations were made for both branches to improve pricing strategy, product mix, and forecasting reliability, helping stakeholders make a data-informed acquisition decision.
